Weigh-in for Week of 2/28

The final day of February was a cause for celebration for me.  It means the close of the shortest month of the challenge.  Given the weight-loss in February, I am on-track to exceed the weight-loss goal well before Nov. 15.  Of course the trick is not in just reaching the goal, but keeping it off if I hit the goal early.

While I am making a pretty table below, the quick info is that I am at 404, down 2 from last week.

Weigh-in for Week of 2/14

The favorite day of the year for florists and fancy restaurants finds me doing another weigh-in.  While the weight-loss is not as big as last week’s, there is still loss.  I am actually glad that it was not as much because it helps keep me mindful that this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Weigh-in for Week of 2/7

Well, I hopped on the scale before running off to jury duty and found that I had lost 4 pounds.  While this is good, my enthusiasm is tempered in the fact that I may not see the full effects of the Super Bowl Party for a couple of days.  The saving grace may be that I was extremely careful all weekend so that “indulging” would not be too much of a problem.  I did get good marks from Lisa C. for focusing on the fruit and veggie platters more than the evil snack platters.

The Official Weigh-In

The official weigh-in occurred this morning without much fanfare.  I was hoping that I was possibly wrong with my guesstimate of being between 400 and 450 pounds.  Sadly, the scale confirmed what I feared – I am a hefty 414 pounds.

This means that to win the challenge, I must get my weight down to 364 or lighter.  Yet I can not be satisfied with that.  Ultimately I need to be between 200 and 250 if I want to avoid any serious health issues.

But, as they say, one pound at a time…
